Curb & Sidewalk Issues at 1201 South Van Ness Ave

It appears someone painted the curb gray to allow for free parking. The rest of the block is metered parking but no meter here. I think this area should be red because when vehicles are parked there it is unsafe for pedestrians. Seen pedestrians nearly hit from cars making right hand turns from South Van Ness to 23rd Street.
