The permit for outdoor dining at the Farmhouse Thai restaurant has taken over an excessive number of parking spaces (more than any other restaurant in the city) such that the block now lacks adequate parking for neighbors, as well as the restaurant’s own (high volume and very successful) curbside pick-up program - used by restaurant patrons and delivery couriers. Additionally, the restaurant is resistant to implementing a safe system to manage the high volume of curbside pickup orders.They have no loading zone and inadequate parking available for these curbside pick up orders. When these couriers are left unsupervised, they illegally park and make the block contested and unsafe for residents. There is now a constant rotation of drivers parking illegally, blocking fire hydrants, traffic lanes and neighbor’s driveways. This is a safety issue for our block and should be addressed by the city or the restaurant.
