Remove all postings, adhesive taping, plastic ties, stickers, graffiti — from various street poles, signal boxes, etc. All visually pollutes public space while setting a tone that promotes the spread of abuse and misuse. Additionally it undermines our sense of wellbeing and support for community and public officials. The City has a compelling need to prohibit posting of notice and graffiti in order to prevent visual pollution caused and resulting contributions to urban blight. Moreover it placement causes damage to property. The best places to live, work, and visit are those places that are willing to uphold high standards of livability in the face of pressure to allow the lowest common denominator.
