Widespread chronic blight, disorder and urban decay, began 30-years plus years ago. The lackluster performance by DPW, MTA and others, with their characteristic submissive-inaction to all types of violators ill treatment of public/private properties, together with the utter failure to uphold established codes and regulations that emboldened antisocial behavior, which promoted the spread of degradation and the distrust in government. What little legitimacy is left with this municipality.
