The eucalyptus trees sway dangerously in the wind. The debris from fallen eucalyptus branches is a fire hazard. The brush fire on Bernal hill yesterday made me pull out the hoses. Jacob from park and rec showed up recently and there has been no follow up.

In general, RPD follows standard fire prevention guidance by removing flammable material that is within 30 feet of inhabited structures. This means removal of down dry material or string trimming dry grass, and does not include removing green vegetation, live trees, low-fuel material, within this defensible space. This guidance was set by the Fire Marshall, is consistent with state code, and was followed for this project. |
