- I’m a professional dog walker, I have walked dogs at Bernal for over 13 years. I’ve been aware of the coyotes here and have been careful to keep dogs on leash especially during pupping season and near their den. Today, at 1 pm, 3 coyotes chased my (off leash) dog and made contact but didn’t attack. I will avoid this area but I think it would be a good idea to place signage on the path near the den so that other dog walkers can be aware of their surroundings.
